We are loving the new burlap canvases that are popping up at the craft stores. They are great for altering. If you can’t find a burlap canvas just stretch and staple burlap around a wood frame or old canvas like we did on this project.

2. Paint the wood letters and pumpkins with Metallic Black paint. Allow to dry. Highlight with gold Extreme Glitter. Cut the letter shapes from burlap and glue to the top of the letters with Mod Podge. Hot glue eyelash ribbon around the outer edge of the letters.
3. Add orange highlights to the pumpkin shapes with FolkArt Pumpkin paint. Add a layer of Extreme Glitter Orange to the highlighted areas. Hot glue scraps of burlap, rhinestones and yarn to the pumpkins.
4. Assemble the piece by hot gluing the letters, pumpkins and birds to the canvas.
