Thanksgiving tray mod podge paper quilt

If you are anything like us, then you must have tons of paper scraps!  Well good news!  Paper scrapes and Mod Podge are perfect together!  In this Thanksgiving / Fall party tray project we combined our scraps to create a paper quilt on a thrift shop party tray.

What you will need:

Mod Podge ® Professional Tool Set
Mod Podge ® Hard Coat, 8 oz.
Fall themed scrapbook papers
Foam paintbrush

1. Cut the scrapbook paper into squares. You can cut them into random shapes and sizes or keep them the same.

2. Apply a coat of Mod Podge to the base of the tray, Apply a thin coat of Mod Podge to the back of a paper square. Position the square on the tray and roll over it with the brayer.

3. Continue with all the squares until the base of the tray is covered. Use the flat squeegee to help when applying the papers to the corners. You can overlap the papers or line them straight up. Brayer over the entire design. Allow to dry for 15 minutes and then top with 3 layers of Mod Podge with dry time in between.

PROJECT TIP: This same idea can be made with fabric scraps!
