DIY Skull Sweater with Fabric Mod Podge – Tutorial + Video

recycled skull halloween fabric mod podge target sweater

We love the recycling and re-making clothes and fabrics into new projects!  This skull sweater is made with a thrift shop little girls dress, a sweater from Target and Fabric Mod Podge.  Fabric Mod Podge is washable….. so even though I added stitches for extra embellishment, you really don’t need them.

How to VIDEO!

Gather Supplies: Fabric Mod Podge, Sweater, Fabric for Applique, Scissors, Paintbrush, Plastic Bag, Embroidery Floss and Needles.

Our fabric was recycled from a little girls dress that we got at the thrift shop.  We used it to make the sweater and the notebook below.

skull necklace pink turquoise

Pink and Turquoise for Halloween?……Say What? Well we say, bring it on!  Plus – we think this would be super cute on Day of the Dead.

The beads are a combo of crystals, pink chunky turquoise and skull shaped turquoise.  The skull cabochon is from our supply shop and the metal pendant from is from our Mod Podge line.  The frame are available at Michaels or online here.

Have a peek at how we made this cutie!

Make a design plan for your beads.  I like to use a bead board…. so much easier for shuffling and designs.
